Prioritize pages and content
Your first step is to prioritize the pages and content you want to rank for.
- Create a list of pages that are most important for your business, then work backwards from there. For example, if you have a product called “Laptop,” you might consider creating pages about laptops in general before creating individual products like MacBooks or Chromebooks (which can be confusing).
- Next, create a list of topics that are relevant to those particular products—such as best laptops for college students or top five laptops under $500—and put them into categories like “Laptops” or “Best Laptop Under $500″. This will help give Google more context when it comes time to search for things related specifically within their results page.
