If you have a low GPA, but still interested in medical school, the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University USA may be right for you. The school offers a number of programs specifically designed for students with less than perfect GPAs.
Applicants with a GPA of 3.5 or lower may qualify if they score 29-32 on the MCAT (out of 36).
The School of Medicine has a five-year curriculum, so you can complete the program faster than most other medical schools. The school also offers an MD/MS program in conjunction with Marshall’s College of Science and Technology. This will allow you to earn both degrees in five years instead of six.
