15. Mercer University School of Medicine
Mercer University School of Medicine is a private research university located in Macon, Georgia. It was founded in 1833 and offers students a variety of programs to choose from. The school’s main campus is about 20 miles from Atlanta, Georgia and can be reached by car or bus through I-75.
The school does not require any particular undergraduate background or high school diploma for admission, but applicants must have completed at least four years of college-level work with a minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher (3.0 scale).
Applicants must also submit letters of recommendation and two personal essays before being considered for interview by the admissions committee; interviews are conducted face-to-face between November 1st – December 20th each year.
